Immerse yourself in a short but comprehensive journey into the origin and source of some of the most influential cultures in Western Africa. Ifa, Orisa Fon, Egungun, Zangbeto and other ideas. The tour blends cultural experiences, religious experiences nice dishes like Jollof Rice and even a concert by primarily Asake or Equivalent.
Route : The experience in Benin Republic climaxes in Ouidah. We begin in Ketou Palaces to Ouidah Vodun Days.
Duration & Pace: We will spend 10 days in Benin Republic. Our daily activities are about two to three per day and they have been well spaced to ensure enough rest in between the days and daily.
Accommodation & Facilities: We typically go for the best hotel in the city. Cold shower which is basically the necessity will be made available and the AC will never be off. Laundry access will be provided and fully paid for but also travel in a way it’s easy to pack since we will move around a lot specifically in Benin Republic.
Cultural Experience: Egungun shows, Trance, Dancing, Food, Yoruba Attire and even optional fishing in Ganvie. We will visit the National museum in Lagos.
Best Time to Visit: The Best time to visit Nigeria is in December and the best to visit Benin is in January due to the nature of organised festivals in the country. If one is to private organise private shows, things will be more expensive so it’s best to go when things are happening.
Preparation & Packing Tips: Western Africa can be so cold and also hot in January so pack light with a Jacket and a hat. Bring a sunscreen, a reusable water bottle and any needed personal medication.
Health & Safety: We do not offer medical insurance although we can recommend one. Stay Hydrated and in case of any health issue, you can be provided with a vehicle to transport you to any medical centre you require.
Environmental Responsibility: A waste bin will be provided to keep all trash.
Additional Support: Should you need any specific requirements or need assistance in planning your tour, please reach so you can be provided personalised support
